Our Environment
Our flowers do not grow by themselves: They also need healthy soil and clean water. That’s why Batian follows these important guidelines:
- We collect and store all rainwater from the greenhouses to use during the dry season. Because we are self-sufficient, the local people will continue to have full access to the river and ground water when they need it most.
- We collect all plastic and take it to a recycling factory.
- All leftover plant material is composted.
- We actively support local suppliers.
